Child Safety
Whilst we do everything we can to provide a safe and secure environment we remind customers that Madhatters is a parentally supervised facility and that you should actively monitor your children at all times.
Our equipment systems and procedures are independently inspected every year and have a full health and safety risk assessment which is updated every quarter or sooner if a risk is identified.
In a addition to the mandatory accident book we keep an incident record for minor occurrences which might, over time, show trends which otherwise might not be picked up.
We provide finger protection to doors, electric locks on the exit and entry doors, alarms on the fire doors and staff who offer a level of supervision.
We have a staircase which leads to the next floor and this can be of particular danger to the toddlers so we gate this area off during the week to prevent access by the beanies! At weekends this gate is removed so particular care is needed to ensure the under 5's do not climb the stairs unsupervised. The equipement on the top floor can be very dangerous in the hands of 5's and under.
We strongly recommend that children under 4 remain under your close supervision at all times. At this age the urge to explore is strong but when on the frame with much older children they can soon become over whelmed.
